Crash Box & Classic Car Club events update.
As you should all be aware by now, the latest Government announcements have effectively stopped all of our events, be they club nights, COGS lunches, or club holidays.
However the position relating to the Historic Vehicle Gathering scheduled for the 11th & 12th July is less clear at this time. It may be possible to proceed with the HVG as planned, but we will not know this for about 6 to 8 weeks.
We therefore propose to wait until mid-May by which time we should know if we can go ahead on the original July dates.
If not we will decide to either cancel or if practicable, reschedule the event to a date in August or September.
If we do have to cancel the original date, all entrants, clubs and trade stands will automatically have their entry carried forward to the rescheduled date.
If this date is not practicable for the entrant, there are the following options:-
1) Carry the entry forward to the 2021 HVG.
2) Make their entry fee a donation to this year’s event charities.
3) Receive a full refund of their entry fee.
In the meantime we are not processing any further applications for any of the event categories and we are holding cheques that we have recently received until the situation is clearer in May.
