Another season of Crash Box & Classic Car Club events are just a few days away!
New Year’s Day sees the ‘Steam Experience’ at Coldharbour Mill Museum, Uffculme. Just turn up on the day and park as directed. More details from Mike Dalby.
Many Club members are competing in or organising the MCC Exeter Trial, Friday 4th & Saturday 5th.
Sunday 6th is the date for always popular ‘Nearly New Year’s Day Car Run’ starting from 10.00 at the Ruffwell, Thorverton with coffee & biscuits. So that the finishing pub can be aware of the likely numbers do please contact the organisers, David & Susie Penberthy, on 01392 279355 – firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm your intention to take part.
Monday 7th is Club Night at The Ruffwell from about 7.00pm. A chance to catch up with fellow members after the Christmas & New Year jollifications.
Wednesday 16th is the COGS Lunch at The Ruffwell (you should know how to get there by now!) Molly & Alan Luxton are the hosts so please book with them on 01392 16292.
Our annual Winter Weekend Break (Friday 18th to Sunday 20th) is at a new venue, the Camelot Castle Hotel Experience, Tintagel, Cornwall. Rooms are available at £50 pp DBB. To book please contact Linda Ryder on 01647 253377 or email email@example.com
For those members involved with the organisation of 2019 Historic Vehicle Gathering (Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th July) a meeting has been arranged on Tuesday 29th January for the collection of the printed paperwork including the entry forms. Where? That pub in Thorverton! From 7.30pm
Monday 4th February is Club Night is at….well….guess!
We DO visit other pub venues during the year with the COGS Lunches. Molly Luxton is always pleased to hear from Members offering to host one of these mid-week lunches. So please contact her on 01392 841270.

Its at this time of year we receive many invitations to various events later in the year. One of which is the 85th Anniversary of the Vintage Sports-Car Club at Brands Hatch, Kent over the August Bank Holiday weekend. I have some details so please contact me if are interested in going
Mike Dalby reminds me that this year is also the 90th Anniversary of the introduction of the ‘M’ Type MG Midget. Numerous events are planned plus a book written by Mike which he hopes soon to have available to sell. No doubt more details will be in the Club Magazines in due course.
For information to our newer Members the Club Magazine is published six times a year in February, April, June, August, October and December. This ‘E- Newsletter’ is sent in January, March, May, July, September and November.
