November / December 2018

It’s amazing to think that another year is nearly over!

The clocks have gone back now so perhaps less chance of getting the classic car out but there are still a fair few club events to look forward to.Club Night on Monday 5th November includes a talk by Keyth Richardson on the Talbot car factory. Club Night usually starts at about 7.00 with some enjoying a meal before the talks start about 8.00

About 60 or more members are off to Falmouth on the 18th/19th/20th November for a Winter Break at Greenbank Hotel.

The COGS lunch on Wednesday 21st is at Fingle Glen Golf course hosted by Tony & Lesley Creed. To book ring them on 01392 413155

December Club Night on Monday 3rd at The Ruffwell will have the traditional hot sausage rolls and mince pies to enjoy whilst having a natter with fellow club members

The COGS Christmas Lunch is at The Tiverton Hotel on 5th December. A booking form was enclosed with October Magazine. Pre-booking being essential for this very popular ‘end of year’ club event.

Having only recently finalised things from the 2018 Historic Vehicle Gathering at Powderham we are already well under way with the planning for next year. With such a large team involved in the show inevitably some decide to step down and have a well-earned rest.

Therefore, each year we need new volunteers to join the current team of over 60 (in number not years!) to take up the vacant roles.

No experience is necessary, and there are jobs not only over the weekend but also on the run up as entries are coming in.

If you would like to get an idea of what roles we need help with next year, please contact Richard Nunn on 01363 775593 or by email to rnunn8007@aol.com
