The Historic Vehicle Gathering is the show case of the Club. It is the largest car show in the South West and one of the largest in the country with thousands of visitors and exhibitors each day.
The range of vehicles displayed is huge, cars from veteran to modern classics, motorcycles, agricultural, commercial, military and steam. Actually quite difficult to list hence the title ‘Historic Vehicle Gathering’ are though only words that can encompass it.
It is entirely organised by the Club committee with no professional organisers involved. It is amazing to realise that an event of this size and complexity can be produced by a non professional organisation and an enthusiastic team of Club volunteers. And on a warm barmy July weekend you cannot experience a better time. A warm pint of beer in your hand sitting on a straw bale in the Devon countryside watching the classic vehicle world pass by.
