The Historic Vehicle Gathering at Powderham Castle 2021 is postponed until 2022

March 5, 2021

Owing to the ongoing uncertainty and restrictions due to the Corona Virus/COVID 19 pandemic, the Crash Box & Classic Car Club has decided it has no choice but for the second year in a row to postpone our annual classic car show.

This difficult decision has not been taken lightly but we have to protect the wellbeing of the large number of volunteers and public who attend the event. There is also the uncertainty arising from the yet to be announced Step 4 regulations relating to large gatherings like our show. This event would have taken place only a few weeks after the proposed end of lockdown so there is a big risk of this date being changed and we would then not be able to run the show.

The Club regrets the inconvenience and disappointment caused by the cancellation of this show which has now been running for forty seven years.
Over the years, the Club has raised well in excess of £200,000 for mostly local charities.

There is good news! We can now announce that the next Historic Vehicle Gathering will take place on Saturday/Sunday 9th/10th July 2022.

The Crash Box Club & Classic Car Club was established in 1964 and is open to all classic vehicle enthusiasts regardless of whether they own a vehicle or not.
It now has hundreds of members who enjoy a multitude of social and motoring events throughout the year. Once we are able to do so again, we will recommence these events.

See the rest of the website for details of how to join us and enjoy our events.

The Historic Vehicle Gathering has been running since 1975. It is run entirely by hundreds of unpaid volunteers and the show attracts over two thousand classic transport related exhibits at Powderham Castle each July.
